a postcard story about the revolution of making time travel accessible to the masses



When they first invented the chronodrive, only the wealthy could afford time travel. The rest of us watched as they posted selfies from ancient Sparta and the Abyssinian Empire.

Then they realized they could make a fortune off of public time transit. The first commuter models appeared. Buses to Victorian England. Trains to the sack of Rome and back.

It was only then that the rich and powerful realized their mistake. They had gone too far. They had given us a technology they never intended.

No, not time travel.

We finally had a bus that couldn't make us late.
