The mimics had to evolve as hunters once we learned to check treasure chests. They began disguising themselves as books with intriguing titles, or puzzle cubes, or mysterious levers we couldn't help but want to pull. As adventurers, that was fine by us. We didn’t want to go down because of greed. Curiosity, though. That's worth dying for.
