I found a magic ring that lets me pinpoint the exact word someone is struggling to think of. At first I used it whenever I could, and my friends thanked me. But soon I began to see their jaws twitch, how they bristled like gundogs, hungrier for the chase than for the kill. And so I put the ring away, and again, my friends thanked me.
